Benefits

The Alexander Technique is a non-invasive form of self-help.  Since it is ultimately a way of thinking, I cannot guarantee any results for you. However, I can say that it has personally helped me a great deal and there have been medical studies on its’ effectiveness at improving pain in the British medical journals. With that caveat in mind, the Alexander Technique may help with:

  • Joint Pain
  • Headaches
  • Anxiety

These are the big three that are really all one and the same. I will leave an additional caveat for migraine sufferers as those types of headaches can be triggered by environmental conditions.

On a personal level I have found that this technique may give you tools for:

  • multitasking
  • eliminating writer’s block
  • improved comfort in typing
  • improved general coordination.

The more you keep the technique with you throughout your day – and in particular maintain a lie down practice – the more deeply integrated these benefits will be with you in your life.
